< BACK TO Project overview
Given the high frequency of listing in discourse, its crucial involvement in the online construction of sets, categories and frames, and its pragmatic use to convey vagueness and mitigation, it is necessary to develop tools to identify and classify lists in corpora. The identification and classification of lists in natural language paves the way to semi-automatic processing.
Therefore we aim to develop a fully fledged annotation schema for list constructions, characterized by cross-linguistic applicability, functional and structural layers, semantic and pragmatic interpretations.
Our data sets will be made accessible on this website.
